Wilpattu National Park

Wilpattu national park located in northwest lowland dry zone of sri lanka. wilpattu national park is a large and oldest national park in sri lanka. This park can find 180 Km north from colombo. This park is 131,693 hectares and ranges from 0 to 152 miters above sea level.
Wilpattu national park popular for leopard. There are many kinds of vegetation to be found in wilpattu , littoral vegetation, including salt grass and low scrub monsoon forest with tall emergent. Elephants, south bear, plenty of birds, leopard, water buffalo, spotted dear, mongoose, mouse and shrew those animals are in wilpattu national park residence also 31 species of mammals have been identified within wilpattu national park
