Temple of Buddha's tooth relic

This is a main religion place in sri lanka. There have a tooth of Buddha. Tooth of Buddha bring from India by prince Dantha and princes Hemamala hiding by hemamala's hair and tooth of Buddha gave king Kirthi Sri Megharvarna after he build a palace for tooth of Buddha. after the kingdom move to different places finally it move to present place of Kandy

 

 

 

Kandy Esala Perahara 

 Kandy esala perahara is a main Buddhism festival in sri lanka. this is very beautiful festival including elephants,  traditional dancers and drummers , flags of old Kandy and esala perahara held at July or august in kandy

Kandy Lake

Kandy lake built by king Vikrama Rajasinha in 1807. This is built next to tooth temple of Buddha. Kandy lake have a one island this built for queen

Royal Botanical Garden  In Paradeniya

Royal botanical garden situated about 5.5Km from city of kandy. There are 4000 spices of plants including orchid , medicinal plants spices and palm trees. Every year lot of people visit to peradeniya garden also foreign people too.
